This
page is dedicated to the progess with this immense project
of which I owe my family that is certain members, great
thanks of which this project would have been increased
by 100 years!!!
To promote the Launds Inn Museum project, for the past 18 months we have been 'on tour' around Yorkshire. This has been a great way to meet people who are genuinely interested in what Launds is all about. Hopefully, we are putting Launds and the Broadbents back on the map! The following photos show us in action at various fairs around the county. We will continue to do these same venues next year, so please come along and support us!
YORKSHIRE FAMILY HISTORY FAIR JUNE 2005 - YORK RACECOURSE
This was one of the early fairs that we had a stand at - and what a fair! York is the biggest Family History Fair in the north of England.
This was somewhat of a challenge for us, as the re-building work on the old Inn had not even started. However, we had a great day and many people showed an interest.

SCARBOROUGH FAMILY HISTORY FAIR NOVEMBER 2005
A little out of season, but a weekend at the seaside was a good incentive to take the Launds to Scarborough.
We had a steady stream of people taking leaflets and seeming interested. Building work had just started at this point, so we had some early photos on display.

PUDSEY FAMILY HISTORY FAIR MARCH 2006
Closer to home at the Pudsey Family History in March, this was our first West Yorkshire fair. Building work on the old Inn was nearing the final stages, so we had many photos to display. We also had a laptop running a slide-show of the project and this seemed to attract peoples attention. Another successful day.

YORKSHIRE FAMILY HISTORY FAIR JUNE 2006 - YORK RACECOURSE
Here we are again - a second year at York Racecourse! We had a corner stand this time and it seemed very crowded for much of the day. As external building work was now complete, we could show a series of photos from start to finish. Leaflets seemed to go very quickly and people were very interested in Launds.

CANNON HALL COUNTRY FAIR AUGUST 2006
Something a bit different - an outside broadcast for Launds! Cannon Hall is a great setting for a Country Fair. The weather was very hot. We had a steady flow of passers-by.
