The Launds Inn Museum is a re-built 14th century period building hosting a private local history museum. Located high on the southern Pennines between Marsden and Slaithwaite, it stands at 1175ft above sea level, offering breath-taking views over the Colne valley and towards Holmfirth, Holme Moss, and the Peak District. |

Previously on display at Launds museum, was a collection of documents on the history of this old inn dating back to the 10th century, license returns from 1679 to the 1800's and local history issues including Scammonden and Golcar. These and many other local and family history documents will be on display in the Launds private Museum when we re-open in 2008.
